Active Query Builder VCL and ActiveX 1.8.5 released

We're glad to announce the new minor version of Active Query Builder. You can download the newest version from the download page.

What's new in the Active Query Builder version 1.8.5?

  • Common changes
    • Firebird syntax: common table expressions are supported now. *
    • DB2 Syntax: Fixed problems with metadata retrieval for specific server versions. *
    • Appliance of the ObjectPrefixSkipping property to the drop-down list of database objects in the Columns Pane is made.
  • ActiveX Edition
    • Unicode support is implemented in the Columns pane and in all of the Properties windows. (the rest of visual controls were already Unicode compatible before)
  • VCL Edition
    • Added possibility to compile the component on the base of TNT Unicode visual library. (this option is available for the customers of Standard version with Source Code only as far as requires re-compilation with the third party source code)
    • AnyDAC (www.da-soft.com) and NativeDB (www.nativedb.com) connectivity packages are added.
    • The new OnAfterCreateControl and OnBeforeDestroyControl events were added to the TacQueryBuilder class to configure internal properties of the query builder controls.
    • The new OnLoadTableMetadata, OnLoadViewMetadata, OnLoadProcedureMetadata, OnLoadSynonymMetadata events are added to the TacEventMetadataProvider class. Use them to load the fields list for appropriate objects using the TacMetadataObject reference.
